DTD Wireless Services was founded by Dustin T. DiPentino, EE, MBA-Entrepreneurship, a Denver, CO native. Our goal was to provide experienced, independent guidance on complex wireless infrastructure projects throughout the Mountain West.
With three decades of experience in wireless communications, engineering, public policy, infrastructure deployment, and real estate, Dustin has worked at the intersection of technology, government, and business. His career has included technical engineering, network planning, strategic planning, executive communications, municipal engagement, and public-sector leadership—providing clients with a broad perspective rarely found in traditional wireless consulting firms.
Dustin began his career as an Electrical Engineer and spent nearly 30 years in the wireless telecommunications industry, supporting some of the nation's largest and most complex wireless networks.
Throughout his career, he has led and supported projects involving:
His experience ranges from technical engineering to executive-level planning, allowing him to bridge the gap between engineering requirements and business objectives.
One of Dustin's greatest strengths is his ability to work effectively with government agencies and elected officials.
Over the course of his career, he has collaborated with:
He understands that successful wireless infrastructure projects require more than technical expertise—they require communication, collaboration, and an understanding of how public policy and community priorities influence decision-making.
This experience enables DTD Wireless Services to help both infrastructure providers and public agencies navigate complex projects with confidence.
Dustin has served as an expert witness and technical resource supporting complex wireless infrastructure matters involving both AT&T and Sprint.
His experience includes evaluating technical issues, preparing supporting analyses, and clearly communicating complex engineering concepts to attorneys, decision-makers, and public officials.
Whether assisting with permitting disputes, wireless infrastructure planning, engineering reviews, or technical documentation, Dustin is known for presenting objective, practical, and understandable analysis.
Throughout his career, Dustin has worked on emerging wireless technologies and next-generation communications systems.
One notable project included supporting LightSquared, an ambitious nationwide wireless broadband initiative that sought to integrate satellite communications with terrestrial LTE infrastructure. While the project ultimately faced regulatory challenges, it provided valuable experience working on innovative spectrum strategies, satellite-enabled communications, and next-generation wireless technologies.
This perspective continues to inform DTD Wireless Services' understanding of how evolving technologies shape the future of connectivity.
Wireless infrastructure is ultimately tied to land use, property rights, development, and community planning.
For more than 15 years, Dustin has also been a licensed Broker Associate, helping buyers, sellers, investors, and developers navigate residential and investment real estate throughout Colorado.
This unique combination of wireless infrastructure and real estate experience allows DTD Wireless Services to better understand site acquisition, easements, property valuation, zoning, development, and negotiations from both the telecommunications and property owner's perspective.
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Specialization in Entrepreneurship
Certificate in Entrepreneurial Studies
Dustin's graduate studies emphasized entrepreneurship, innovation, strategic planning, finance, leadership, and business development—skills that continue to influence his consulting approach and long-term business strategy.
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
As a graduate of the University of Denver's Electrical Engineering program, Dustin built the technical foundation that launched his career in wireless communications.
He later returned to serve as a member of the University of Denver Engineering & Computer Science Advisory Board, helping provide industry insight and guidance for future engineering education and workforce development.
Today's wireless infrastructure projects are increasingly complex.
Engineering alone is no longer enough.
Successful projects require an understanding of technology, government, public policy, land use, communications, business strategy, and community engagement.
DTD Wireless Services brings those disciplines together.
Whether supporting wireless carriers, engineering firms, municipalities, utilities, developers, attorneys, or property owners, Dustin provides practical, objective guidance built on decades of real-world experience.
